Schools in South Dakota are short of funds, Britton Superintendent Don Kirkegaard testified this morning in a trial over the adequacy of state aid to education.

Both the Britton-Hecla and Langford School Districts again received passing grades when South Dakota's 2008 report card for schools was released last week.
